In honor of our past President Michael Garbin, CEC, AAC, ACE, HOGT and current Chairman of the Board, this scholarship (s) offers educational scholarships to those beginning to seek a culinary or pastry arts degree, college students currently seeking a culinary or pastry arts degree, professional chefs already working in the culinary industry looking to further their education or get certified, and student culinary teams currently competing at Nationals.

The scholarship (s) as its' namesake, Chef Michael Garbin Michael Garbin, CEC, AAC, ACE, HOGT , is about our ethics as professionals as outlined in the;

Culinarian's Code

As a proud member of the American Culinary Federation, I pledge to share my professional knowledge and skill with all Culinarians. I will place honor, fairness, cooperation and consideration first when dealing with my colleagues. I will keep all comments professional and respectful when dealing with my colleagues. I will protect all members from the use of unfair means, unnecessary risks and unethical behavior when used against them for another's personal gain. I will support the success, growth, and future of my colleagues and this great federation.

First of all, on behalf of the ACF Windy City Professional Culinarians, Inc., the Board of Directors would like to thank you for your interest of donating to this wonderful Chef Michael Garbin scholarship. One of the principles of this chapter, to give back to our membership while helping the betterment of the ACF and increasing the quality of life for its' members. Without your financial support, much good throughout the community could not have been accomplished. Such as the Chef & Child foundation, Good Will Industries at the Great Lakes Naval base, After School Matters, For the Love of Chocolate, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, New Horizons Center for the Developmentally Disabled and our Chapter representation at Nationals.
